Ever since I learnt the benefits of musical training, I developed so much hunger to learn one instrument. Growing up I remember playing the flute, sometimes I would go back Home and learn how to play a worship song with the flute on my own. I always wanted to learn how to play a guitar, that was one of the reasons I bought one immediately after my secondary School and till today I still have not learn how to play one, that’s one of the things I will be working on this year.

These are some of the benefits of musical training that I have learnt:

2) it helps you to be more alert

3) Catherine a Neuropsychologist explains that it stimulates the brain in a very powerful way because of our emotional connection with it.

4) Strengthens reading skills

5) playing musical instrument makes you happy

6) It can help boosts self-esteem

7) Babies who have music lessons smile more and communicates better. Musical training also improves focus, reduces stress and could be an antidote for the pressure that Children feel.

There are a lot of benefits in learning musical instrument, more and more studies are linking musical training with improved brain function and higher academic achievement. Playing a musical instrument involves multiple components of the central (brain and spinal cord) and peripheral ( nerves outside the brain and spinal cord) nervous system.
