What do I mean by Hidden Enemies? Hidden enemies are people whom you probably know, but you have no idea they are your enemies, yet they work to undermine you. Today you are most likely to encounter these people everywhere. A hidden enemy is simply one you don’t know is even your enemy.Sometimes you need to be careful the kind of friends you make, Not everyone that come into your life must be your friend, and some people come into your life as friends but they are actually your enemies, don’t be too naive to think that everyone that come into your life wants the best for you.
Jesus had 12 disciples but out of the 12 disciples there was only one that wanted him to be crucified because He was offered 30 pieces of silver. Judas knew Jesus was the King of Kings and He was innocent of what they accused him of, He had spent so much time with Jesus and knew that Jesus was not a sinner. He knew how powerful Jesus was but He allowed himself to be used by the devil to destroy the relationship He had with the Savior.
Why will someone even pretend to be your friend when the motive is to destroy you or destroy something you love? King Herod heard a baby was born and the baby was going to be the King, the thought of another King really troubled him because He was so selfish, and the fact that even the people of Jerusalem were also troubled really got me thinking. They liked him even when He was obviously not a good King, after He could not get to Jesus He decided to kill their babies just to get one.
“When Herod the king had heard these things, He was troubled and all Jerusalem with him”
There are people that won’t be happy for your success, and the truth is you don’t have to do anything wrong to attract people like that. King Herod had to invite the 3 wise men to his palace, He even acted like a friend to inquire from them about Jesus. He deceived them to think all He wanted was to worship Jesus. God warned them in a dream not to go back and reveal the location of Jesus. I remember when Mathew Morankinyo the pastor of GCIC (God City International Church) asked us to pray for our enemies that come as friends, this is really a strong prayer point that most people neglect to pray. We must learn to pray that God would reveal enemies that come as friends, God never said we won’t have enemies but He said we should pray for them.

An enemy is a person who hates or opposes another person and tries to harm them or stop them from doing something, but our real enemy is Satan. He is the reason why anyone will want to harm you. He would try to stop you from fulfilling your purpose on earth. God makes it clear that we are fighting a spiritual not physical war, against spiritual enemies.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”
The enemy knows you have a great destiny and God has a great plan for you, so He would uses puppets, those who are filled with jealousy and envy in their heart to distract you. The enemy will never win because God is your banner and He will vindicate you from your enemy.
The good news is that God would place friends that would always be there for you. A true friendship that stands the test of trial and time. He or She could be “A friend that sticks closer than a brother” Proverb 18:24. Jonathan and David’s bond was so strong He even risked his life by traveling a great distance to see David in hiding, knowing that his father surely had spies watching every move even after Jonathan died, David kept his promise to show kindness to his friend and He looked for Jonathan son Mephibosheth and provided for him the rest of his life.
The truth is you will have enemies that come as friends or any kind of hidden enemies, but we have a Father that can reveal them to you, and no matter who like or don’t like you, you can have a friend that will be there in the bad and good times, A friend that love you for you and will want to bring out the best in you. A friend who is there not only through the good times but also the bad , through thick and thin, friends may come and go, but to have a life long, close, personal friendship is truly a great blessing.
