WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP

When you feel like giving up, pause for a minute and remember why you started, and what you really hope to achieve. It’s very convenient to give up when things are not working according to plan, but that’s usually the worst mistake ever! Holding on despite challenges shows that you have faith that God is able and nothing that can stop what God is about to do in your life.

Everything you are going through now is preparing you for something greater in future. Everything you are facing now is for a moment and will be over soon. I can imagine how David must have felt when he was faced with the lion that wanted to kill his father’s sheep. How could he have known that trial was preparing him for his tomorrow? However, he remained committed to his duty of protecting his father’s sheep, full of faith in God’s promises.

David is well known today as the giant- slayer, but I’m not too sure King Saul would have given him a fighting chance against Goliath if his experiences didn’t speak for him.

David’s weapons against Goliath were just a sling and stones! Logically speaking, that is impossible, but not with God involved. The on-lookers may not have seen God physically, but David knew that it was God that fought that battle for him, just like He did with the lion and bear (1st Samuel 17:32-54).

David’s confession in 1st Samuel 17: 45-47 spiritually killed Goliath before any attack against him did. Your mouth is very powerful, use it to call forth what you want.

Don’t give up, rekindle your faith in the great God of all possibilities. If He has given you a vision, don’t worry yourself with how it will play out, just remain committed, and work hard on your part of the covenant. Practice positive confessions because you become what you say!
